Thank you letter from Grazia Menechella: Madison –  Italian Workmans Club

Dear all,

Thank you so much for the event at the Club. The students and I have learned a lot. Students are making very interesting connections between the material they are studying and what they learned during your panel presentation. A few students have changed the topic of their research project after this event.  One student is looking at maps of the Greenbush. One student is currently in touch with Catherine Tripalin Murray. One student is working on the grapes of the Greenbush. Other students are working on the history and foodways of the Greenbush. I have also informed the colleague who teaches the Horticulture course linked to my course about the grapes of the Greenbush (her research area is grapes). I am attaching some photos from Tuesday’s class (I even found some grapes!).

I hope we will have more opportunities to collect stories from the Greenbush, especially about food culture, food skills, and the social aspect of food in the Greenbush.

I più cari saluti, Grazia Menechella
