Meet Victory K8 Italian Immersion Teachers!


Alex Kaftan K4:  born in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Mother is born and raised in Rome, Italy.  Parents met in Italy.  Graduated high school in 2006 in Rome, Italy and also spent 8 years living in Italy.  Fan of the current prime minister.  Started teaching at Victory K8 in 2014.

Sabrina Lupoli K5:  Born in Calabria, Grew up in Puglia.  Graduated from the University in Lecce in 2005.  Started to teach elementary school in 2006 and moved to Modena and graduated in 2014 in elementary education.  Studied for two years to become a special needs teacher.  Studied in Luthuenia and California to expand her knowledge.  Started to teach at Victory K8 September 2014.

Carri Brunelli K5:  Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Her grandparents were born and raised in Italy and relocated in the United States.  She has a Master’s degree in Education from Cardinal Stritch University.  She loves working with the children in her class.  Started teaching at Victory K8 in 1991.

Elizabeth Zizzo Grade 1:  Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies and Elementary Education from University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.  Participant in the National Endowment for the Humanities Seminar: “The Art of Teaching through Italian Art” Roma, July 2011Assistant Dean of Concordia Language’s “Lago del Bosco”.  Started teaching at Victory K8 in 2007.

Emanuela La Grutta Grade 1:  Born in Tione di Trento (TN) and has lived in Rovereto (TN).  She graduated high school for teachers and have bachelor degrees in Trento and Free University of Bozen.  She obtained a Master’s degree “How to teach foreign languages” at FOR.COM in Rome.  Started teaching at Victory K8 in September 2014.

Annette Robertson Grade 2:   Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin.   Bachelor of Arts in Italian Art History and Minor in Italian from University of Wisconsin, Masters in Art Education from Concordia University.  Active member of United Nations Association.  Started teaching at Victory K8 since 2010.

Angela Margherita Bozano  Grade 2:  Born in Genova.  Married to Borsi Vittorio and have two children Matteo and Valeria.  Bachelor degree from University of Genova and a Master’s degree in Italian as a second language in Venice.  She is licensed to teach elementary, middle and high school.  She has taught for 13 years in Italy, Holland, International School, Germany, and United States.  Started teaching at Victory K8 in September 2014.

Cathy Laurenz -Essex  Grade 3:  Her parents were born in Italy, making her the first generation Italian.  Her mother is from Salerno and father is from Ascoli Piceno.  She briefly lived in Italy as a child, from ages 3-5 before returning to the United States. She obtained bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in Communication, Italian and Marketing and Advertising.  She is a certified elementary teacher as well as a paramedic for the state of Wisconsin and teaches Italian for the University of Wisconsin Outreach program.  Started teaching at Victory K8 in 2008.

Enrica Fracchia Grade 4: Born in a small town near Savona, north-west Italy.  She obtained her master’s degree from University of Turin and TESOL at LaSalle University in Philadelphia.  She has taught for 22 years.  She has been an Assistant Principal for 4 years and has different administrative roles in her school in Ceva.  Started teaching at Victory K8 in September 2014.

Steven Falsetti Grades 5/6:  Born in Milwaukee.  His great grandparents moved to Wisconsin from Arezzo, Italy prior to WWII.  In the early 2000’s, Steven and his wife spent time teaching in Taiwan which was the beginning of his career in education.   He has taught K5, grade 3 and currently teaching grades 5 & 6. Started teaching at victory K8 since 2009.
